When things go wrong in our lives we often carry tension in our body. I was carrying so much tension, that my shoulders felt hunched and a sudden neck movement would cause a muscle strain that left me with difficulty in turning. Over the course of two years I had been to a chiropractor, a chinese acupuncture & massage therapist, a physiotherapist, and multiple doctors. All of these these things did help, but not for long and it was very expensive to maintain.

 

I went into my first appointment with Carol in pain and came out an hour later pain free. She taught me how to release the tension hold I had on my muscles and how to correctly carry my body. It was that simple. Carol didn't just treat the symptoms, she treated the original problem. Over the course of a few weeks, she taught me the technique which I could use whenever I needed. Now I can recognize the tightening across my shoulders and neck, stop and let go before it gets to the multiple pain killers everyday stage. I can promise you that I haven't needed any other treatment since Carol and its coming up to three years now. Thank you Carol.

As an administrative officer, sitting at a desk over for 8 hours a day for the last 20 years, I ended up with debilitating pains in both arms.  I could not do basic tasks either at work or at home with lack of sleep and many sick days.  By using the principles of Alexander technique over the last 2 years, I am more aware of my body and what it is doing.  I am able now to have a constantly relaxed body and improve the way I sit, walk and work. So much so, I am now able to perform all the routine tasks at work and chores at home.  Most importantly, I am back in my backyard, gardening again and loving it!
